Rockybowlers
After meeting and debating the issues of not having a playoff system we decided to wimp out and like in 1992 the University of Washington Huskies sharing the National title with The University of Miami Hurricanes so will Terry "Eeek my kid can drive" Hubbard and Kurt "Half Time" Schlicker be co-champions this year and share the Rockybowl title of "King Rockybowler" and share first and second place purses.
The controversy for the true champs in 1992 has never ended and neither will the controversy of the Rockybowl title of 2009. Who was the real prognosticator, who should be crowned King Rockybowler? The commissioners were worn-out, crabby, exhausted,stifled, and we had pains in our backs until Jim "Top Coug" shouted "My god men are starting to sound like our wives oh my god, let's let them share the title" so we gave up and went back to some serious drinking.
Congratulations to the others for their blood sweat and tears and hanging in right up to the last game. Nat-a-later is trying to convince dad he has enough money for a new truck.
And for Mike and Marion first timers seem to get lucky at this bowl so congratulations but DONOT expect to be back in the money for a long time. Ask Bart and Kris who were champions their first year never to be heard from again. Congratulations for being in the money a feat I have never achieved.
Next year unlike the BCS we will have tie breakers in place published and ready to solve this dilemma and have a true champion
I think the most disappointed person with this tie is Quinny "Almost Grown Up" Dunkley who in three years has finished twice one place out of the money and once 2 places out of the money, her suggestion is to throw both them out and crown her with 4th place, I thought it was a good idea but Jim and Doug could not get a grasp on it.
Thank you all for the great posts yesterday they helped made a great finish to the Rockybowl. Big Hands we will look into your suggestions on posting, right Jim?
We the commissioners hope the bowl season was more fun due to our efforts and we look forward to next year.

ReplyDeleteWe appreciate the Commissioners infinite wisdom and dedication to not only the RockyBowl but to serious drinking; what a fun ride it was to the finish!
We don't necessarily want you to sound like your wives but a few of you could certainly benefit from LOOKING like your wife.
As mentioned in a previous blog, a $100. donation will be made to the RockyBowl party 2010 from the winnings of Half-Time. He is such a good guy and will be on a mission to reign supreme next year (and I will take second as he always has to be on top!).
Thanks for inviting us to play along; Kurt will take the Tebow approach and rally his peeps for total Walla Walla domination in 2010.
